Hello, after updating bios to 1801, rollback to version earlier than 1701 is not possible. For me best version is 0902, motherboard post very quickly.
I'm furious is there a way to bypass this, modify a bios file or something else?
I tried ez flash and usb flashback.
sorry for my english

Does 1801 have the mitigation for the downfall security voulaberly? If so I will skip it, as I have read the fix affects the performance in a negative manner.

No, you need newer microcode than is available in the 1801 bios ( for instance F8 for 10900k) for downfall mitigation. That microcode is what mitigates the vulnerability and impacts performance.

ROG Hero XIII 1801 still has Microcode Revision 0x54 for Rocket Lake, which was already included in 1402 and maybe before. I don't know which version is included in 1903, but it should be different.

Here are the microcode versions in 1903 for the Hero XIII

Anyone brave enough to try the new 1903 BIOS that came out today?

Im still waiting to see what people have to say about it. Was just going to update to 1801 lol. 1701 has been pretty good.

Yep same here was gonna flash 1801 have just been putting it off cause I'll have to redo all my OC's. Definately not killing 50% (in some scenarios) of the performance I paid for. Even a 10-15% perf hit is UNACCEPTABLE.
Class Action perhaps!

What is odd is by the release notes for 1903, I thought this would be a fix for the Intel downfall vulnerability, which requires microcode F8 on my CPU, but 1903 has F4, which is the same microcode for a while now. Must be something else - they should be more specific.
