Z590-E CPU Cooler Max Weight

Hi,

I just get a Z590-E and 11700K and need to get a Corsair A115 air cooler for it.

Just need to know if a 1.6 KG cooler will not hurt the mobo over the time?

And please don't recommend AIO, it will be enough since no OC and no AVX.

Thanks 🙂

That may be true in the earlier days, but the mounting mechanisms for air coolers have gotten a lot better at spreading the weight over the pcb and motherboard stand offs.

The ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming WiFi has a 6 layered pcb, up from the typical 4 layers. This helps with strength and signal isolation.

You shouldn't have any issue with sagging.

Hello TheBlahBlah

Corsair shows the A115 air cooler is compatible with the ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming WiFi.

Weight isn't an issue, what to check is your case for the maximum height for cpu coolers.

164.8mm is the height of the Corsair A115.

Hey, thanks for the tip, there are many suggestions that indicate heavy air coolers will bend or destroy the cpu part of the mobo, so won't apply to Z590-e for sure? 🙂
