UPDATED: Windows 11 (TPM chip)

UPDATED THIS POST TO PREVENT CONFUSION:
No TPM chip in Maximus Xiii which is a requirement for Windows 11 is now solved, in short most modern Intel CPU's have it's own TPM module under the name of PTT which can be enabled in the Bios, you do not need to buy additional chips for your motherboard header if a header exists.

I enable PTT and save changes. It confirms the changes. And then I go back and look and its disabled again. Im on a Strix Z490I. No clue.

Under advanced look for PCH FW Configuration 🙂

You can bypass TPM 2.0 chip checking easily.



The TPM 2.0 used only oem systems not DIY.

I read that TPM 2.0 chip needs to be installed on the TPM header on this board to take advantage of this.

No you don't. Just enable PTT under PCH-FW Configuration like OP mentioned.

Ran the Microsoft PC Health Check on my Strix z590 E before seeing this thread and said Wins 11 wasn't compatible on my PC . Enabled PTT in bios after reading post here and now I'm all good for Windows 11. Thank you all 😄

Look at original OP question, it claims no TPM which is incorrect, there is provision for it. I was only correcting this not claiming this was better method or right way to go in fact I made no claim but you assumed WAY to much from my post.
