For context, I'm working on automating RAM overclocking on my z590 Apex machine.
Another machine acts as the 'master' with the Apex being the 'puppet' being controlled. I can currently control the power button remotely, boot and reboot, and check if the machine is powered on. I can also input settings into the BIOS automatically by emulating a HID keyboard.
What I'm now missing is the ability to see the status of the Q-code display from software on the 'master' machine. I need this so I can tell, in software, how far the Apex got into the memory training process, and whether it failed to POST and needs a reset.
Before I set up a camera and use OCR, I wanted to ask: is the current Q-code broadcast anywhere during the POST process? Maybe over IPMI or some proprietary header?
Do you know, @Shamino ? Hope it's OK to ping you. (Also, are you guys open to BIOS bug reports? I've found a few reproducible issues. Which channel should I use to submit these to ensure they get seen?)
