Hey Mokichu, You can add full packages for MEI Drivers? just installing the drivers can sometimes be a problem. For example, if the ASUS MEI Firmware Updater Full package is not installed, it does not update the firmware.
At least it would be much better if there is a link where we can get the latest full installer.

Thank you for your time and effort. STAY WELL!

Hi MoKiChU Thank you!

can i just check is this the right chipset to install on maximus rog xii formula and which ones to download etc?

I Reinstalled windows 10 on a new m2.ssd and (just like when i first installed windows 10 last year on current ssd) im having MAJOR issues with asus supplied drivers (already got audio sorted from the forum post, just want to check as when i installed asus intel chipset, the graphics all went a bit glitchy and keeps BSOD if i play any games (removing Nahimic service from startup on service fixed the glitches, so it seems to be the audio driver conflicting with either the asus intel chipset drivers, or the nvidia geforce drivers)

(cant be graphics card issue itself, as other windows 10 install works perfect, and everything is the same driver versions! only starts after installing all the asus drivers from their OWN website support page for the motherboard! - dont they test these things? - i get "some data after the payload data was detected" or whatever 7-zip says as well)

Once i get a "good" copy of all the right drivers i need for the motherboard im going to (again for 5th time) try reinstall a clean copy of windows 10

I have looked through this entire thread and not seen a problem I am having installing the Intel MEI so sorry if I may have missed it. I have a new build (i7 10700k Asus ROG Strix Z590 Gaming A Wifi) that will not install Intel MEI. If I try installing that offered at the Asus site, I get The setup program ended prematurely because of the following error: This platform is not supported. I tried those on the DVD and get the same. I tried that offered on the first page here (I believe driver only) but nothing appears to happen. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Follow this process :

- If you see Intel Management Engine Components in your apps installed (Start > Settings > Apps) : Uninstall them then restart your PC
- Launch Driver Store Explorer as admin > Check the boxes of all versions of these drivers .inf (if you find them) : heci.inf | dal.inf | dal_wc.inf | iclsclient.inf | lms.inf | wiman_wlan_extension.inf | wiman.inf | mesrl.inf
- Check the box "Force Deletion" then click on the "Delete Driver" button then restart your PC
- Download the Intel MEI drivers package from the first post of this thread
- Follow the Install/Update Process

For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the Install/Update Process.

Also, you need these firmware/drivers for your new ASUS ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi motherboard :

[FIRMWARE] Intel ME (Z590)

[DRIVERS] Intel Chipset/MEI/SATA/VMD (1xx/2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

- Intel Chipset Drivers

- Intel MEI Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel SATA AHCI-RAID Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 4xx/5xx

[DRIVERS] Intel Serial IO/Thunderbolt (3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx)

- Intel Serial IO Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - 5xx

[DRIVERS] Intel Ethernet/WiFi/Bluetooth

- Intel Ethernet Drivers (Drivers Only) :

Drivers - I22x-V (2.5GbE)

- Intel WiFi Drivers (Drivers Only)

- Intel Bluetooth Drivers (Drivers Only)

[DRIVERS] Realtek USB Audio (MB | Intel 5xx/6xx & AMD 5xx/6xx/TRX40)

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC408x codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS MB) from the first post of the thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Thanks for the list! - downloaded them all, i was missing the ME firmware and intel ethernet drivers . some reason the audio isnt working and causing corruption with nvidia, but ive kept that on the other thread

thanks for your help as when i first got my pc the asus website drivers worked, but a year later im reinstalling to a new ssd and none of their drivers are working! so this has been a massive help!

Hi MoKiChU.

The Intel Chipset Drivers 10.1.18508.8239 WHQL install is not working for me on my Max X Hero Wifi. The last one I think I successfully installed was 10.1.18460.8229 WHQL. I say "think" because I looked in Device Manager and Drive Store Explorer for driver 10.1.18460.8229 but don't see it listed. Is this normal? When I tried to install 10.1.18508.8239 it ends with Failure - Unknown Error. I looked at the log file but could not tell what the error is. I then decided to try installing the last version that I had from you (10.1.18460.8229 WHQL) and that also failed to install.

I have installed many driver updates thanks to your efforts and have rarely had any trouble. I don't know why this version won't install, or why the last version won't install, or why I don't see any driver with these version numbers in Device Manager or Drive Store Explorer. I tried to attach the 2 log files that were generated but the Asus upload thing said it was not a valid file. Maybe they only allow image files? Here are the last few lines of Chipset_20201220103841.log.

EDIT TO ADD - After doing some investigation, it appears that the latest Intel Chipset Driver that is installed is 10.1.1.38 which is what I see in Device Manager for all of the Intel 200 Series Chipset Family entries. In Drive Store Explorer it shows up as kabylakepch-hsystem.inf. I looked back through the other versions I have from you. If I attempt to install CHIPSET_Intel_v10.1.18383.8213 it gives a warning that a newer version is installed so I aborted that installation. If I advance to the next one (CHIPSET_Intel_v10.1.18460.8229) I don't get the newer version installed warning but I do get Failure - Unknown Error. If I try the latest one you have posted (CHIPSET_Intel_v10.1.18508.8239) I also get Failure - Unknown Error.

Same issue on a Maximus XI Code.
