Does anyone use or even know how to use Intel Thunderbolt?

I know there is a windows store app for it and it supposedly doubles USB speeds but I have never known where it is on my PC or determined how or if it's speeding up my USB transfers.

Just like the 10 Intel services running it just seems like unexplainable bloatware.

Thunderbolt is not just some technology that magically speeds up USB when its enabled. 

It's actually physically hardware. Your MB supports the ability to use Thunderbolt if you enable it. But, you'd actually need a thunderbolt add-on card to start using thunderbolt peripherals. 

Enabling thunderbolt without the supporting hardware is pointless.

Thanks now I can disable the services and get rid of the software control panel too.
