Hello, I've dealt with this issue since I upgraded to bios version 1701. The problem is that PC freezes whenever I set SVID Support to Enabled or Auto. Could the motherboard be damaged somehow? Rolling back bios version does nothing. All bios settings are default.

I get the A0 code on the motherboard. Which is telling I gave control to OS. Default freshly installed Windows 10 pro. Any ideas?
The 1701 BIOS comes with a warning . . .
"Before BIOS update, please download Intel ME update tool from ASUS support site, and update ME firmware to Version 188.8.131.525"
If that step wasn't followed, you may need to clean install Windows.
Being that it seems to have an issue with Windows and not the hardware/bios,
I'd use a bootable USB stick to 1st delete all existing partitions and then proceed to clean install Windows.
If you need to retrieve data from the drive before deleting partitions,
I suggest using Hiren’s BootCD mounted onto a USB device to boot the system
and then copy the required files (data) to the USB device.
All along, I thought you couldn't boot Windows at all. On my system, SVID defaults to 'auto'. When clicked on, there is a dialog at the bottom stating the default setting is selected by the determined quality of the cpu... or something close to that.
