Can i restore BIOS to default safely?

Recently bought a used computer, specs below. Can't play helldivers 2 without forcing Directx11 because i get an instant BSOD or just a flat out forced reboot of my computer. DX11 worked fine until today when the computer rebooted itself after about half a mission. Has since happened 5 times. Windoes event viewer categorizes the events as "Kernel-Power" event ID 41. Doesn't happen with other games.

Stress tested CPU using OCCT and got 3 WHEA-errors, after which the computer rebooted itself. Stress testing power causes reboot. Stress testing the GPU without issues though. 

Now to my question: i noticed that the BIOS has a bunch of settings that differ from default settings. Is it safe for me to restore to default settings, or does this motherboard come with specialized settings in the BIOS that should'nt be touched? I want to try this and see if that might help. I'm aware that it might be the PSU, but after checking with a PSU calculator it just doesn't seem like it.

RAM: 32,0GB Dual-Channel DDR4
Mobo: ROG STRIX Z490-F GAMING (LGA1200)NVIDIA
GPU: GeForce RTX 3080 (Gigabyte)
Storage: 1 TB Kingston SSD
PSU Corsair 750W.

Yes, it's safe to reset the bios to default settings to do some testing. The only thing you'll have to do is set your memory after testing.

This is a good idea, let us know how your testing goes at default settings.

Sorry, didin't find an option to edit so I'll just post another comment. I asked the seller if ha had tinkered anything with the BIOS, an he said he hadn't, and I'm certain I never touched it. Yet there are many settings that differ from default. Is it still safe to restore them? I read somewhere that resetting the BIOS of stuff that comes with custom settings fro the factory can cause hardware issues.

When you reset the bios to defaults, it will set your DDR4 memory to the default speed of 2133MHz.

Enabling X.M.P. will set your memory to its rated specifications. 

The kernel power event ID 41 means your pc shut down unexpectedly, this could either be a power issue or instability.

Updated BIOS. Got black screen at first, put my GPU in another alot and everythings working now. Enabled XMP II again. Stresstest and HD2 without issue. Thanks!

You're welcome and great to hear all is well.

Updating the bios is recommended if you're having issues, I should have mentioned that.

If your gpu is not in the 1st pcie x16 slot, it may not be running at x16.

You can check this with GPU-Z, you may have to put a load on your RTX 3080 for it to show @ x16 4.0
