As title said, when I try installing the Chipset driver.
Maximus Hero XIII Z590, I downloaded the Chipset Driver from ASUS site.
When it reaches 80% it get a BSOD.....
WDF_Violation
Originally the Driver for my SM Bus Controller was missing.
But after the installation even facing a BSOD, it did kinda fixed it.
It no longer shows up in Device Manager with an error.
Bu few others still doe, like PCI Device and USB Serial Bus.
So I wasn't comfortable with this, I re-install Windows again. Back to square one again, SM Bus Controller being missing.
Should I even bother with it ??

That driver on my system shows a null driver for removing the yellow-bang. It should get that driver from somewhere, have you checked the optional drivers Windows might be suggesting? It does seem it should be in the chipset drivers, but I don't know for sure.

" null driver for removing the yellow-bang. "
What does this mean ?
For now I just left it be, actually do I really need to update it ?
So far I've played games did Cinebench23, all seems fine.
Hmmm I did check Windows Update, there is this. Not sure is it even safe for my system lol...

The yellow-bang is the yellow triangle that shows if the device has a problem. Keeping it hidden stops folks from worrying about it. The device normally goes into the system devices section of the Device Manager.

The driver on mine shows the type of date which is associated with the company, so it doesn't reflect anything more than that.
DriverVer=07/18/1968, 10.1.34.13

If it doesn't bother you, then it is up to you. I remember installing them on my system with no ill effects.
