I have a bootable linux drive. I can boot using a USB adapter and plugging it into a USB port. It boots just fine. But I cannot get the same drive to boot as a SATA drive. After much work, I finally got bios to list it as an available drive, but it won't boot.
Why would this drive work as a USB device and not a SATA device? I have tried any number of bios settings, but just can't get it to work. I've built many, many linux devices and have never run into this situation before.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
