Seems new 2301 BIOS does the opposite of the 2201 BIOS, Intel PTT is now enabled all the time and cannot disable it, it reverts back after saving and rebooting.. This is on a ROG Strix Z490-G.

It is enabled to support Windows 11, which requires TPM 2.0 (part of PTT firmware). So they enable it so it can be "Windows 11 ready", and presumably to save on support grief when Windows 11 is officially released.

No need to explain why they did it, I can read the notes. If this was intentionally left on then the option would've been removed from the BIOS and always enabled. They did not do this and gave us the option to disable it and it's not working.. This is NOT the intended behavior, otherwise the option would not be there. This is a bug and was a bug in 2201 as well when some boards couldn't enable it.

For the Z590 TUF board I currently have, the latest 1017 BIOS for Windows 11 was removed from ASUS site. I don't get it, I mean, the option is there in all BIOSes and it works as intended, what the heck did they have to screw with it at all ?
It's the TPM option, Discrete or Firmware.
Also, screw MS for forcing this upon us with their crappy interface redesign which they call Windows 11.

were there some problems or what hapend?
