Z790 Maximus Hero/ 14900K Not Posting

Hello! So long story short:

I made an upgrade from AM4 AMD, to LGA 1700 Intel. Swapped out my AMD components entirely. I now have a Z790 Maximus and a 14900K.

I know that the Z790 required a bios flashback to be compatible with the 14th Gen intel Processors. Even after completing this task, I get no post.

No Windows boot, no option to enter bios, no input signal, period. The computer (RGB, Motherboard, Fans and all) are ALL on.

My ONLY remaining guess is because I have Corsair DDR5 Dominator Titanium 7200 CL34 slotted in this build. From what I'm reading, that speed is really hit or miss, not currently a sweet spot, and is well over the recommended for the Intel Processor.

I'm looking for ANY advice to try and get this PC to post, to at least get into the BIOS and take a look.

Make sure your memory- if 2 sticks - are in slot a2 and b2. Cheers

Your choice of memory kit should only be a valid concern once you enable XMP overclocking. The system should POST successfully at complete defaults.

What code is displayed on the Q-CODE display?

i. Clear CMOS via the button on the rear IO panel

ii. Insert one memory module into slot A2 

iii. If no joy, remove the CPU cooler and CPU - inspect the CPU and pin pad for any debris or bent pins.

iv. Remount the CPU and cooler whilst ensuring for even mounting pressure as per the cooling vendors instructions.

Since you're getting nothing, what bios version did you update to and was the update successful? I'd like to confirm you renamed the bios file with the bios renamer tool or renamed it manually to M790H.CAP

The bios update should take about 90 seconds to 2 minutes to complete. When the blinking stops, try booting up your pc.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I DID get the computer to post, after attempting re-flashing the BIOS. However (as is Murphy's law), I have another issue on my hands.

I believe this is directly a BIOS related issue, and I am very unfamiliar with some of these settings.

None of my THREE NVME SSD's are appearing as bootable options, despite one of my 980 Pro's already having Windows installed (I understand I'll need to reinstall Windows to get the proper Intel drivers and replace the former AMD ones,but right now I'm just trying to get into my home screen). They are occupying the 3 Onboard M.2 slots.

And although they aren't appearing as boot options, all three DO appear in the NVMe configuration window, as well as in the "RAID Config" window in the EZmode of BIOS.

Even stranger, is I'm currently getting this image on my monitor via the Onboard Motherboard HDMI port. My ASUS TUF 3080TI is seemingly not sending image.

I understand that this is alot, and all help is appreciated, but i'm left to wonder if this is a BIOS setting with the PCIe lanes? Or the M.2 slots? I'm running on fumes after doing this all day, and perhaps I'm just looking something over.

This is good, progress is being made.

Since you're basically doing a new build....

Personally, what I'd do is remove two ssd's and install one ssd in the M.2_1 slot as your windows boot drive. Install windows with only that drive installed. Once windows is installed, then install your other two ssd's. You'll likely have to set those up with disk management and assign them a letter for windows to recognize them.

If I recall, when I did my Z690 build, my firecuda 530 didn't show in the boot options at first. But, it showed up during the windows install process, this is where you format and delete everything off your drive and start fresh. Once windows is installed, it will automatically set your ssd as the first boot device and you should then see it in the bios.

As for no display.... 

Be sure both 8-pin pcie power cables are secured, are you able to try a displayport cable?

Tragically, I'm at work right now, so I'll be certain to give this a try when I get home. That being said, this is where things get even trickier:

I have booted the Windows Installation Media via USB, and not only do ALL of my drives appear (with accurate readings of remaining space), but It claims that all of my SSD'S are in MBR format and cannot be used.

Ordinarily, I'd say no problem, and convert to GPT with the Command Window. But when I list disks? None of them appear.

I'm genuinely stumped.

Ah, yes MBR is not supported with UEFI.

Give this a go, I want to hear more progress.

I'll certainly look into this. I could've SWORN that these drives were formatted in GPT, that's why this is confusing to me, but your consistent help is appreciated. I'll keep ya posted!
