Z790 Dark Hero New Build.

I have a new z790 dark Motherboard. I have put everything together... didn't test.  Windows 10 not installed yet. The Bios is at 0220. The new bios/firmware is bios1807  firmware110. How should I install this upgrade... After windows or before? I have it installed on a thumb drive correctly. Everything is ready. Just need some step to step advice.  Thanks.

Either. Before or after is fine and will make no odds. Just be sure not to enable XMP overclocking prior to installing Windows incase there is instability.

The latest BIOS is 1801 with microcode 12B.  You sure you were looking on the correct support page?

I didn't see a microcode number.

Heres the page. Just dont know when to upgrade it. Before windows install? Plug in Thumbdrive in Bios Port in Back of Board?

Either before or after. I always use the flashback port on the back. But you can also use the bios updater in the tools section of the BIOS too.

Ps. Just give it some time and don't interrupt it. It will also update the ME firmware and the RGB lighting firmware.
