Hi all, pretty new to the ASUS RoG community. I bought a G74SX and in my desktop currently running a Crosshair V with an 1100T.
My main question because i'd like to think of myself as a pretty experienced builder and enthusiast, but I can't for the life of me find any news for Ivy Bridge boards that ASUS has to offer. Especially any new RoG boards. I fully plan on purchasing a 3770k since Intel has officially dominated the CPU benchmarks since the ever popular 1155 sockets became mainstream.
Do you all think that I should just go ahead and get a Maximus Z68 board or does anyone have any news on the new chipset? I realize that Gigabyte and MSI have some boards they showed at CES 2012 and really from what I gather is that the only main difference in them is native PCIe 3.0 support which in tests doesn't really benefit my HD 7970 a whole lot more. Again all speculation and testing anyways and I'm well aware that there are many room for improvements, but I just wanted some advice since I'm pretty confident that I'm going to wait till April to get my new CPU since my 1100 is running like a champ, but quickly aging. I know several might suggest the 2500k or the Ivy Bridge equivalent, but I really want a RoG board too. Thoughts?
