Welcome to the party, not a good party though!
😞I have actually been battling this for a few months now, ended up buying a pcie ethernet adapter instead.
I tried a few things:
- I tried the solution suggested by intel, it worked for a day or so but then it failed again.
- I also tried the intel solution with the latest driver on the Asus site, this strangely worked for a few days however it reverted again.
- I updated my motherboard to the latest bios then I tried the intel solution. This was the most promising attempt as it worked for a week or so. You can skip this if you want and just continue with the solution on the intel site,

I would firstly recommend attempting the Intel solution before anything else, which is on
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057261/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.... When doing so, use the drivers from the links on this post
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?118280-DRIVERS-Intel-Ethernet-WiFi-Bluetooth instead of the Asus site.
Who knows, you might get lucky and it works and doesn't drop again
🙂For me personally, it worked for a week or so then it just reverted itself to the same issue problem
For now, I'm not doing anything and will be using my ethernet adapter for the forseeable future. I found this post on 03/12/2020 on the intel forums:
Which is on this
