Background: system is not new, I've been using it since 2025-01 . In older versions of BIOS the only problem I encountered was long (up to 5min) memory training after changing bios settings, but BIOS v1504 fixed that. Recent changes - I upgraded the GPU to 5090 and upgraded the bios to v1504 about a week ago. Everything worked correctly until today. Now I'm dealing with seemingly random POST blocks.
Problem:
After booting, MOBO hangs usually on code 62, sometimes 70,68,97.
Performed 69 reboots in total, system booted successfully only 7 times, so right now I'm standing ~10% chance to boot successfully
Soft reboot (resetting through OS) after a successful reboot always boots successfully
After shutdown trying to reboot again yields random result – hangs or works.
Connected devices or installed memory sticks do not affect the behaviour – running it without any PCIE devices and only one memory stick does not fix the problem - behaviour is exactly the same.
Updating bios from v1504 to latest v1512 did not fix the problem
Doing a CMOS reset has no effect on the problem.
Once the system boots, it’s super-stable, everything works correctly.
