x670 Extreme Memory Stability (occasionally stuck in memory Test)

My System Specifications:

CPU:  7950x, CPU Cooler:  Evagelion Ryjin II 360, Case: Phantek EVO White, MB: ASUS x670 Extreme, Memory:  2 x 32GB g.skill Neo Z RGB 6000 OC, PSU:  Corsair 1600 ATI, GPU: ASUS Tuf 4080 OC, Storage: (M.2s)  1 2TB Samsung 980, 1 2TB Adata.  I was set to EXPO II but as you will read I had to set my system up with EXPO I for it to boot recently.

I have been using this system for about 8 - 12 hours or so a week, its my spare computer, I game on it, I do some work (mostly remote control of systems so low impact).  The system was built in January 2023, had experienced memory stability issues however they were resolved in February 2023 after a BIOS update.

One on-going issue was the motherboard booting after the UPS was turned on without the case power switch being pressed.  I had to deal with that issue as a fact of using this board up and until 3 weeks ago when, after reading a few posts on these boards, I learned that BIOS update 1709 might fix that issue.  Well, it did fix that issue.  I updated the bios and suddenly my board was not just powering on when the UPS was turned on.

All seemed well, I used my PC for a few weeks then there was a bunch of Armory Crate/Driver updates and Windows updates this week that I had to do.  The result was that my PC once again was not getting past the memory test part of the post process (after all those updates, a few of which were to components on the MB I believe).  I had to power the computer off, power it back on (after waiting an hour for it to get past that).  This dumped me into the BIOS and I tried to just boot with no changes.. once again stuck at Memory Test.  What I did to get past this was once it was in BIOS again I switched to EXPO I and saved.  This got me to boot into Windows.  I tested shutdown and restart and it seems to be functional.

After all the issues with this board over the last year I am not convinced it will continue to be stable and I am concerned.  The ASUS regional  Director that posts on the ASUS Facebook forms is less then trilled with me posting about the AMD X670 extreme issues.  This is a $1000 board at retail and it is, in my opinion, not stable.

So here's my question:  Are other people having this issue with this board?  What is the fix?

I would prefer to keep it and use it for the 7950x3d I have sitting on the shelf and then game more on this then with my Intel rig.  However these memory stability issues and the booting without a power button being pressed are discouraging.  The power button item was resolved but this memory issue is very discouraging and just keeps occuring.  This is my second RAM set by the way.

While EXPO I seems stable I bet at some point this will occur again.  I ran a memory test, 2 of them and my kit passes..

Any suggestions are appreciated.  I have been a loyal ASUS customer for many years.
