Which to go for a new monitor advice

Level 10
I'm at that crossroad of which way to go about it for upgrading the monitor. I've still got the GTX 670 and holding out for the right card(s) to upgrade. Not sure if I want to go for the Titan X or wait for the 980 ti (if that is still coming out this year) or even wait for the Pascal next year but I'm not sure if I want to wait that long. I've never had a multi-gpu setup before for several reasons like microstuttering, heat, power consumption so on. Now I think the technology has improved and matured since so I think the time is right for that.

Now the choice of monitor. I've got the Dell U2713HM and that served me well, now I am not sure if the time is right to take the leap for the 4K monitor Asus PB287Q or go for the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q. I'm planning just one high-end card for 1440p and 2 cards for the 4K.

What do you reckon, what is your advice to help me to put my aim firmly.

If your budget allow you to take 4k monitor and the graphics that support that, then go for it, and later on u can add 2nd graphics and make it right...
But if your budget does not allow you both, i would reccomend to go for the graphics card buying, cause 4k monitor wont mean nothing if u dont have Gpu for it...
So my reccomend is to go for graphics card...I hope i helped a little bit 😄

I'd purchase something with 144hz refresh rate - check out this site for monitor information

Thanks for the input and the link guys. I must admit the new Intel 750 SSD PCIe have mucked up my future upgrades - the more I read about it the more I want it :p. It was originally 2 cards and 4K and now I'm heading for ROG Swift, one card and Intel 750.
