Which SATA is faster?

Ok, I just finishing up on my new build and I have an enclosed drive that I keep my media on. It was eSATA on my last build, but I have an open southbridge 6 GB/s internal port available. I can removes the drive from the enclosure and install it internally. If so, will it be faster than having it as an eSATA? Thanks

how long have SATA IIIs been out? heh

Edit: Damn, I checked my Newegg order history and it's only 3GBs/sec. Btw, are there any USB 3.0 hubs out there yet?

Why yes, yes there are. Visit Amazon.com and take a look. Sata III has been around since 2009.

good, now all I have to do is replace all my devices with 3.0 ready ones. 🙂 btw, nice system. That Koolance system should keep those reactor cores from a meltdown

if this is a hard drive or ssd your connecting to a sata 3, you should take a look at primo cache. (formally known as fancy cache)
My ssd are benching around 5gb a second (according to crystal disk) using primo cache.
