Hello,

First post on this forum 🙂

My REX3 is RMA and now I got credit back because the X58 is EOL.
I understand this, but want to upgrade to 1155 now.
My previously system was:

i7 980X
REX3
2x Mars II
Xonar Phoebus
and some SSD's (Sata3)

My question is:
Which mobo is the best for the placement of all this components?

Was thinking about this 2 mobo's..

ASUS Maximus V Extreme
or
ASUS Maximus V Formula

If I had to choose between those 2, I'd definately go with the Maximus V Extreme for those twin 3 slotted monsters you have there. 😛

About my question, especially the airflow between these 2 cards.
Not that it is seated tightly each other with no airflow between them.
The Phoebus will fit between them with a fan next to them.
No problem I think?

The Extreme would be my choice too in your situation and the form factor is EATX so yes it should fit fine.
