Just upgraded to a ROG Crosshair X870 board and Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
I have 4 M2 drives and am looking for some advice on where to put them?
I know that installing one in either 2.2 or 2.3 will limit the PCIEX16_1 port to X8 and I also assume that installing 1-2 of them on my Hyper M2 card will also limit PCIEX16_1 to X8 (as the card has to go in the other PCIE slot).
So where to install 4 M2 drives - any advice would be very welcome.
On a related note: I ran 3D Mark with the graphic card (RTX 4090) running X8 and X16 - there was no difference in the score. Does this mean that running tthe graphic card in X8 is fine, as there is no drawback compared to X8 or is there somerthing I am missing?
