Upgrading PC, recommendations?

Okay, so I've been looking at buffing up my computer and last time I went XFX, this time there's no question I'm going ASUS. I would like some help with putting together the parts 🙂
Atm I'm looking at this:
Mobo: ASUS Maximus VI Formula, Socket-1150
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 780 3GB PhysX CUDA
Or: ASUS GeForce GTX 780Ti 3GB PhysX CUDA
(not sure it's worth the money for the smal upgrade I've found between the cards)
RAM: Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Tactical 16GB (I already have 16 of this lying at home, so that's why I'm planning to buy 16 more)
CPU cooler: H100i

I would really like to go ROG all the way but not sure which graphic card/cards to go or which motherboard, the current items I have listed are just what I, myself came up with after some googling around 😛
Also, which OS would you recommend me to go?
Thank you for taking a look and helping out!

/Richard

not really

Extra information about desired system:
I would defenitely want low noice on the CPU cooling if possible

if you have the monney forit go for the Ti card ( its on the range of the titan and bether then the 290x )
mixing memory kits is not a good idea since you will only get problems whit it.
a single kit of the amount you need is the best to prevent problems.
how old is the psu??

Yeah, I would echo the advice from kkn. Mixing kits of RAM is not a great idea, although that platform can be a bit more forgiving. 16GB is a good amount of ram for pretty much all you could want to do. Put the money towards the 780Ti. If you're not going OC crazy I would get a Noctua NH-D14...it should fit in your case and over that RAM (the RAM is pretty low profile right?). It's a great aircooler for moderate OCs and is quiet!

So just to see if I got this right, "mixing ram is not a good Idea", does this still stay true if I mix 16gb of the same ram with another 16?
Yes the ram is low profile and that CPU cooler seems really good, I will take it into consideration.
Yesterday I check around alot more on this forum and I started thinking maybe I should go for the ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME, Socket-2011 with the Intel Core i7-3930K Processor and ASUS GeForce GTX 780Ti 3GB PhysX CUDA
Would that be a big upgrade compared to the other specc I put in the original post?
Thanks again for the quick answers

its like mixing oil and water at times.
some times you can be lucky and some times you will bang you head against the table and trow every thing out the window in frustasion.
the rampage way is the expensive road, the maximus is a cheaper way to go.
the rampage have more "processor cores" if you go high on the CPU's, but personaly i dont see the need for it for me personaly ( gaming and video watching and sutch ).
@arne, remember that the cooler have space problem when it comes to the vid cards.
its like a 1mm clearance between vidcard and the cooler.

here you have a lill comparison on the AMD and nvidea vards -> http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/software/battlefield_4_performance_amd_vs_nvidia/1

okay great, will not buy more ram then, if I ever want more I will upgrade to a 32gb kit from the start 🙂
So basically it comes down to me going for either a 6core or a 4core processor then...

Ti gets my vote.

Ram is personal as most of the time they are all made from the same chips.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

For gaming there will not be much difference gamingwise between the two platforms. There are a couple of games coming out that can use more processors (like BF4) but this is still not the majority. If you do a lot of photo work and a lot of video encoding maybe quad channel RAM and 6 cores is worth it but if you're doing normal stuff and lots of gaming then the the RIVE is overkill..... but hey good fun to have. Good fun if you want to OC, it's really an OCing board...but then you would have to look to water cooling etc.

Yes, the RAM advice applies to same make model kits. Kits are binned to work as a kit not with other kits and they quite often don't.

Definitely the Ti if you have the money... But, one question, how will you cram a 780 to, plus the formula, the 4770k....Etc.?

I mean... my PC cost me 3,000 euros and has similar specs...

Please be sure not to buy really good components that cost a lot of money, and they buy really low-end products to make-up for what you spent, that Isn't a good idea... examples: all the stuff you mentioned, but then you take a shortcut by not buying an SSD...

Now, maybe the parts are cheaper where you are, but I'd find it hard to believe that this will l
All come down to 1500... my point is to please make your build a balanced build, it's extremely important..

There's no point on getting the 780 to and the max formula if you won't be adding some serious stuff to keep the build balanced... it will make minor difference o your build yet will cost a lot of money...

Please post what you plan to get in your build so that we can help see it is a balanced build.

Thank you! 🙂

@hyper droid, he did in the first post.
IF that SSD is a sata2 i can not promise it will work but you can try.
