Upgrading my Hard Drive

I have the ROG G750 JM laptop. I have come to the conclusion that my hard drive crapped out on me, so i would like to get a new one, there are two spots for hard drives, and I need to know which ones I should get. I've never messed with upgrading a computer in my life so any and all help would be appreciated. Also, if you need to know any specs of my machine, I can find them and post them on here.
PS I'm not 100% sure this is the right thread to put it in.

Is there anyway to move this thread there or should I start a new one?

No we can't move threads, only forum moderators can do that. it's ok though go start a new thread in the laptop section, a forum moderator may delete or merge this thread, no big deal. 🙂

I would suggest buying an SSD for your main bootable OS, depending on how much you want to spend of course.

Crucial BX100 250GB - £65 - $99
Crucial BX100 500GB - £121 - $185

(You can get a Crucial MX200 for a bit extra, I would look at the difference between them 1st and see what's right for you)

As for the 2nd internal storage I would choose a normal HDD.

WD 1 TB 2.5-inch - £62 - $94
Samsung M9T 2TB - £79 - $120

When you get your SSD it normally comes with an Acronis trial, which means you'll be able to clone from your other HDD (The one that's dying).

If it's already dead then too bad.

The instructions are pretty clear so it ain't too bad.

Prices: All prices are from Amazon

Options: Other SSDs and HDDs are available, these are my suggestions since I trust Crucial and most HDD are pretty standard but WD and Samsung are good makes.
