Want to reuse: AZZA Helios 910 Black Japanese SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Monitor resolution: Samsung SyncMaster 23" screen size; Display 1920 x 1080 resolution

Storage requirements: Will be purchasing a SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Will you be overclocking: would prefer not to

Any motherboard requirements (no. of USB, Xfire/SLI, fan headers): looking at Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard - will this fit in my current case?

Extra information about desired system: I have a very good tech who will give me a break on his labor in exchange for some of the parts being replaced. He also suggested I look around to find what I want and agree with my desire to go to the Samsung 256 SSD.

We are already discussing the fans necessary and upgrading my DDR2 RAM with DDR3 sticks, along with a new video card. Suggestions for video card are for me to be aware of amps and rail. Since I will only run one monitor. Looking at this: SAPPHIRE 100351SR Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card OC with Boost, but am not familiar with this brand or its stability.

its AMD, its cheeper then nvidia, should perform good, you can play full out on bf3 if you got that, but you get locked at the HZ ( HZ = FPS ) on the monitor.
the backside AMD have compare to nvidia is the psyhx option, witch you will not get on the amd cards.

memory, get 1 kit ( not 2 seperate packs of memory, only one pack of the amount of memory you need. ).
the lga1150 uses dual channel memory.
from the range 1866 and up to around 2133mhz ( or more if you so desire ) and 8 - 16 gig of ram, depending on what you going to use the pc for.

are you gona use the stock cooler or are you going to get an aftermarket cooler?

as long as the case is ATX the board should fit in there from what i know of.
the mobo IS atx formfactor so.

Thank you very much....I'll keep this in mind when I go to purchase. 😄

Not sure about the cooler yet...my tech and I have decided to wait until Dec to check things before making that decision.

Best game system right now

Hero or Gene motherboard
4670K CPU
Any 120GB or bigger SSD for OS and game folder

Graphic card of your choice. I like AMD and the price is right for a top end card right now.

Physics is done by your CPU so no worries there.
