Upgrade GTX780Ti K|NGP|N to ASUS GTX1080Ti Poseidon or Not???

I reserved for me ASUS GTX1080Ti Poseidon Platinum with 2 years more warranty.
Some guy sold whole computer and I don't have chance to continue tradition and to buy RTX2080Ti.
Simply price is so high that ruin enjoying even if I have 3000 euro I would spent on computer but I would not buy her.

Poseidon in my country new cost little more than ASUS RTX2080 Turbo.
When I ask what they thought to do with prices, because GTX1080Ti dropped to 600 euro, they told me price dropped only 50 euro.
Still is over 1000 euro.

This used Poseidon for 580 euro.
For warranty no worry because I know who bring him and buy everything from same guy.
I had chance to buy brand new but without warranty for 600 and that card is sold now.

First things on my minds are how GTX1080Ti work on 4K resolution.
It's not only GPU, other people sell MSI Lightning for 600-650 euro, there is ASUS GTX1080Ti Turbo for similar price and their price will drop.
But Poseidon saved me 150 euro on waterblock and I will not use any more GPU with air cooling.

Other option is only waiting to price of RTX2080Ti drop.
That have many negative sides, first long waiting, I mean that's waiting of year or more to price drop on 500-550.
Even when she drop she is 25% stronger, I don't wait 80% stronger card, and investment is waterblock.
If my 4 years old almost GPU died, actually 4.5 in mean time I will not have good options I will spend money on something stupid.

If I buy Poseidon I have buyers for my card 150-160 euro and upgrade will cost me arround 400 euro and I have 2 years warranty, GPU and waterblock.
I think it's time to upgrade and that I didn't make bad decision.
What you think?

I could wait 2-3 months more, but I will not find nothing better, only models without waterblock will be available, price almost same, etc...
Waiting for 20-30% stronger GPU is long long waiting. For same difference as between Kepler and Maxwell or Maxwell Pascal I would wait probably.
I would know much much stronger GPU.... Etc... but what now, Real Tracing, downscale 4K on 1080p to enable RT in 5 games and 25% more power.
Worse series, worse launch event, worse performance, worse price, everything worse from moment when NVIDIA become powerfull and that's Fermi.

Actually that's transfer from GTX780Ti extremely overclocked and faster than reference GTX980 to GTX1080Ti Poseidon with waterblock and 2 years warranty for 400-410 euro total.
That's how much I pay after sold my GPU. In total I think this is good chance and it's bad to miss.
I thought Monitor System will told me Yes these cards are EOL, no one will ask them now and ASUS will agree to sell them for 600-650euro.
But no, they asked 1020 EURO for Poseidon. That will not be sold at all.

One guy posted this and little shocked me, but it's not lie...

4K performance increase and 2 generation comparison with starting MSRPs:

1.
1080Ti - 2080: 9% for same price (or +50$ for the 2080)
980Ti - 1080 was 39% for -50$
780Ti - 980 was 9% for -150$

2.
1080Ti - 2080Ti: 39% for +300$ (more like 350$ actually)
980Ti - 1080Ti was 83% (!!!) for +50$
780Ti - 980Ti was 43% for -50$
