well its time for me to build a new gameing rig and i want something entirely different.
other builds in the passed ive always used Asus products and have always been pleased.

ive only gotten one bad board and that was the latest sabertooh with the imitation diaomd plate over the board.

anyway so ive always had my eye on the ROG boards and i think i want one for this new build.
im looking into the Asus Maximus V Formula but im reading some not so good reviews on newegg.
form what ive read some people are getting alot DOA !

ill be rocking i7 2600k sandy bridge which is my current cpu now!
some g.skill memory 16 gigs i fargot the speed an such.
and i think i want this one to go watercooled and do some modding.
and even build my own case ive got some ideas in my head.

but as far as the motherboard would this be a good board to use??
i only plan on running one video card and i want to get a geforece 4gig card.
i play alot of WoW and i multibox 5 accounts and the current card i have.
when im in an instance with my toons i loose fps.
but if i just run one to two accounts im fine.
plus i think its time for an upgrade heh!

Everyone posts about there DOAs....they don't always post when it works perfect. Also some of the DOAs are user error.

I would agree with that, remember that this is a support forum, not a praise the brand forum. Here folks only join (well most of them) if they have a problem. Now ASUS are the biggest selling motherboard vendor in the world to end users by a very large factor compared to other vendors. That translates purely from a numbers game to more users who can or could have issues. And sadly yes many folks do mess up and then prefer to shift responsibility to the CPU or the ram, or the motherboard than put their hand up and say I messed up. That is not to say that some boards do not get to end users with defects or problems. They do. And will continue to happen until we find a 100% fool proof method of QC control and shipping product to all ends of the earth.

The formula is a very good gamer board and one that I can most certainly recommend. I personally have a Formula board as my 24/7 rig and selected it over the Extreme version (which I also own).
