SupremeFX HiFi DAC panel - need advice

Apologies upfront if this is answered elsewhere, I looked extensively for an answer first. Also, I'm not an audiophile so the question might be basic for some but not me.

I have the Rampage V Edition 10, and I installed the SupremeFX HiFi DAC front panel into my PC. It works just fine. I also installed Sonic Suite II software and it works just fine. However, I can only get Sonic Suite II to control my onboard digital content, for example my case connected hidef audio and my speakers off the back outputs from the MoBo. Sonic Suite II won't control the SupremeFX HiFi DAC, it says it does not support it. OK, fine, but the question is, how can I process the signal from the headphones out of the front panel DAC to be 5.1 or 7.1 or some other configuration I like? What am I missing? Yes, I am aware of the panel interface software, but that only allow me to control volume and sample rates (I think?)

I must be missing something, can someone who knows a little about this maybe point me in the right direction? Basically I want to be able to use my gaming headset (HyperX Cloud II), plugged into the SupremeFX HiFi front panel, and control the output sounds from the game to be what I might want, like 5.1, etc...

Thanks!

Hmm, so would it be a better solution to just plug in this headset via the USB and use the inline 7.1 sound card that comes with the headset? Or maybe use the system speakers with the Sonic Studio? Sounds like those are my only two options then? Thanks for the advice.
