Thanks in advance for reading, I'm hoping to get some good suggestions here-
I've been struggling for the last two weeks trying to get a pair of Samsung EVO 850s to register as a RAID 0/1 or RAID Ready Device. to be exact, I have these drives-
SAMSUNG 850 EVO-Series MZ-75E250B/AM 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3-D Vertical SSD
I've found a lot of information online saying these drives aren't compatible but I've also read a lot saying they are. I'm currently waiting on Asus technical support to follow back up with me regarding an open ticket but I honestly believe they are going to tell me they aren't supported.
With that said, what are suggested to use? I've just about been talked out of using them in a RAID0 configuration however, I need to be able to run them in RAID Ready because I have a RAID1 with spinning disks on the controller as well.Asus provided me with a list of supported SSDs but there are only 3 supported 6G Sata drive that are SUPER expensive. NewEgg suggested that I try the Crucial MX series but I'm not really into "trying" something without knowing it will work.
