Some advice needed

HI folks! Hope everyone is well and good! Been a while since I posted on here!

After some quick advice with regards to 4k gaming monitors.

My budget is going to be around £500 - what's the best 4k monitor I can get with that budget? Probably should mention i'll be adding 2 titan x's to the rig

Also is X99 that much of a step up from my X79?
Currently my 3930k, although old, clocks extremely well. How are the 5960x's clocking these days?

Cheers all!

Decided to go for 2 Dell S2716DG monitors. Not 4k, but 2560x1440,144hz and GSync 🙂

hey all, for a none gamer, do things like photos, video, the web in general look much better in 1440p vs 1080p??
I have used 1080p monitors all my life, but my next monitor will be 1440p. I just like to know for those that own one, or a 4k monitor, will u never go back to 1080p now that you've tried better?
Asus & MSi FTW (For the WiN 🙂 !!

The higher the resolution the more pixels on the screen, the sharper, clearer more detailed the picture or video is, it's hard to describe how much better everything looks
I was using a 30" 2560X1600 monitor for years and purchased a 32" 4K and it is like night and day how much sharper and clearer the display is, 4K is 4 times the resolution of 1080p
I would never go to lower resolution unless finances forced me

Totally....2560x1440 is a whole step up from 1080p and I would find it impossible to go back....

I am avoiding looking at a 4K screen for the same reason since if I do I will no doubt have to buy one immediately...

Do you think a single gtx 970 would be enough for 2560x1440p? I want to upgrade to 1440p but i just think 970 is not good enough.

How do you find that dell monitor for gaming? I been looking Dell 27" UltraSharp U2715H, but without doubt asus rog pg279q would be better...also 40% more expensive.

Would probably be fine with a Gsync monitor since it would match the frame-rate....you can see typical performance numbers here http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1595

I have my monitor for photography more than gaming but it is very good for gaming too...though I have GPU to make sure I can run 60FPS.

I am looking at 4K soon I think....Pascal will make that possible on 1 GPU hopefully...
