Should I move the PSU to clear the GPU cooler fan? See Pic

This is a new upgrade. I replaced my XFX 5970 with these Sapphire 7970's. I'm watching the temps; at idle the top card gets up to 41°C and under load 57°C. The bottom card stays 5 to 10° lower.

The case is a Coolermaster HAF 932 and it has provisions for a top mounted PSU. If I relocate the PSU, I'll have to find another top fan as the existing one would no longer fit.

An interesting benefit to this upgrade has been faster system booting. With the 5970 it would take a long time for the bios to post.

I'm sorry, geo111, I did messed up a little bit... I confused the HAF 932 with the HAF X... 😞 sorry about that! The HAF X has the airducts...

However, the HAF 932 has a better side panel! 😄 You can set up a really nice airflow there... how many fans do you have on the side panel? What's the airflow direction through them?

Just the one big fan and it blows in.

Although, I need to check that fan and make sure it is working. I had the door off of the case to shim up the lower video card.

I have the same set up in my HAF 932, I added a 120mm fan next to the PSU on the bottom of the case, blowing air from outside straight at the graphics card, it works really well 😉

Hey Granger, that is a great idea. I need to order some new fans.
