ROG Z790 PCIe Decklink Card problems

I have a ROG Z790 MB. Nvidia 4070 graphics card is in top PCIe slot PCIEX16 (G5)_1. M.2 drive is in M.2_2 socket. Decklink 4K Quad HDMI Recorder card is in PCIEX16 (G5)_2. Decklink Mini Monitor 4K is in PCIEX4(G4).

All has been working fine until a week ago. Suddenly, one of the 4 channels in the Quad HDMI Recorder card is not recognized by vMix or the Blackmagic Media Express app, and one is recognized but doesn't show camera output.  The Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup app doesn't see the card at all. Note that the card was recognized and performed as expected for several months prior to this problem surfacing, and Decklink Mini Monitor 4K card has never had any problems.

BMD support suggested connecting the card via mini-USB to update software/firmware for the card. Did that, reinstalled the card into the same slot on MB, no change.

Installed the card in a Sonnet Echo Express enclosure, plugged into Thunderbolt port on the MB. All recognized and working.

Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on?  Am I missing something about allotted PCIe lanes on the Z790? Is there a technique to pushing the card into the slot, and maybe it's not fully installed on the MB? Is there a power cable that needs to be connected?

Thank you all for the help!
