ROG Z270 WIFI issues

My PC started having issues staying connected to the Wifi despite showing a strong signal and no other devices experiencing problems. Also, when this occurs the PC goes into a sort of locked up mode. I can still navigate around, but things like the performance monitor are frozen. Ive gone through resetting all settings, latest drivers, generic drivers, I even formatted the drive and installed a fresh copy of Win 10 and nothing seems to help. If I stayed connected with a physical LAN cable, I have no issues. I have this PC for a couple years now and this has only just started happening with no other changes in my home.

I saw a couple other posts on this issue, but none had a solution

Hi @280razer Windows keeps on improving the power management features. It is quite possible that your WiFi device is going into low power states and losing connection. What Power Plan are you using? Are you on the default "Balanced" profile? If yes, can you try switching to "High Performance" profile and see if this improves your situation? If you situation is improved then we can work towards setting the power profile of just this device while you continue to use "Balanced" profile so other devices can be put to sleep and save power.
