Assembling this ROG STRIX Z790-I board with Intel 13900k processor, I would like to know if the memory can be compatible:96 GB (2X48) G.Skill F5-6800J3446F48GX2-TZ5RK 96 GB CL 34-46-46-108
ASUS does not mention compatibility with this memory on its support page. In theory, the SI memory is compatible with socket 790 and an Intel 13900k processor.
The only 96GB (2X48) memory that ASUS mentions that it is compatible is much slower: CORSAIR CMK96GX5M2B5600C40 2X48 5600 40-40-40-77 96GB
Since this board is one of the current boards, I don't see that the support says that it has compatibility with the new 96 GB memories.
On other ASUS boards with similar characteristics, the support does say that they are compatible. ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX, ROG MAXIMUS Z790 EXTREME, ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO.
My question is if this memory can be compatible with this board:
96 GB (2X48) G.Skill F5-6800J3446F48GX2-TZ5RK 96 GB CL 34-46-46-108
“ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-I” ---- Intel 13900k
All the best

I have the same question, on this page: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z790-i-gaming-wifi-model/spec/
ASUS notices “2 x DIMM, Max. 96GB, DDR5”
But in Manual Revised V2 September 2022 it’s indicated: “2 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR5”.
I think since the last BIOS updates the maximum was increased.
Incidentally, the latest BIOS 1904 mentions this in its changelog: "Enhanced compatibility with 256GB memory".

Is this true? I can upgrade my memory compacity?

Detail your request.

Combining and mixing memory kits isn't supported by memory or motherboard vendors. If you combine memory kits, the overclocked settings in which the kit is validated for XMP/EXPO are no longer valid. Purchase a single kit validated for the density and frequency you are trying to run. This is because memory vendors bin and validate the memory kit in the density in which it is sold. Whether we combine a kit with the same part number, frequency, timings or voltage the advice remains the same.
If wanting to increase capacity and overclock with XMP, purchase a single kit in the density you wish to run.

Yes but until what capacity?
- 64GB from the manual of the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-I motherboard?
- 96GB from the official page of the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-I motherboard?
- 256GB from the changelog of the 1904 BIOS dedicated to the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-I motherboard?
