hI I have bought new memory for my asus rog strix z270g mobo.

WIth my old memory hyper x fury 2666 I had no problems but with the new memory I get an orange light on the mobo and nothings happens not even an post bios screen. In the specs on asus site for my motherboard is the new momery listed as compatible. I'm running the latest bios. ALlready tried to clear the cmos but that does not help. Any advice would be helpfull.

Hi Endbase

Sorry to hear you're having issues, let's see if we can bring her to life. I'm using 16GB (2x8GB) HyperX Predator in the Maximus IX Code (z270) and it's working great.

If clearing the cmos didn't help....

To rule out a faulty stick, try each stick separately and all four slots for good measure. Make sure it's fully seated, clear cmos again and fire her up.

Good luck, I got my fingers crossed. 🙂

The Strix z270g doesn't have the bios flashback feature so unfortunately you can't go to an older version. It's alright though nothing wrong with having the latest, I don't think it's a bios or motherboard problem since your HyperX Fury is working.

This should point to an issue with the HyperX Predator.

Works now not at the desired speed of 3200 Mhz but at 2933 so that is not bad ! seems to be that I have to wait for an newer bios to get higher speed on the ram ! xmp profile aint booting my os !

Update did adjust the vccio on 1.1500 now it runs at 3200 Mhz 🙂
