ROG Strix B360-G Build: It's been a while

Greetings!

As the title states - It's been a while since my last computer build and the last time I participated on this forum.

My first and only other build was a ROG Maximus V Gene, 10 years ago, so I'm kinda rusty but here goes using the template in this thread:

Budget: spent so far approx. $1705.31 (not an issue per se)
Main uses of intended build: Photo Editing
Parts required: One M.2-2280 NVME SSD, Two 2.5" SSD's

Previous build information (list details of parts):

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K (not overclocked)
Motherboard: Maximus V Gene mATX motherboard Z77 chipset
RAM: 16 GB G. Skill Ripjaws SDRAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
Optical Drive: ASUS DVD Writer
Storage: Samsung 830 Evo 256GB SSD
Western Digital Green 2 TB HDD
Western Digital Black 2 TB HDD
OS: Windows 10 Pro-64-bit
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Chassis: Silverstone Temjin Series SST-TJ04B-EW
PSU: Seasonic 650W

Monitor resolution: 1920 x 1080
Storage requirements: At least 4 TB
Will you be overclocking: No
Any motherboard requirements (no. of USB, Xfire/SLI, fan headers): TBD
Extra information about desired system: Would like to take advantage of the M.2 slot on ROG Strix B360-G to install M.2-2280 SSD as boot drive

Current build parts acquired to date:

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B360G
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengence LPX - DDR4-2666
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 570 8 GB Armor MK2
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S
Chassis: NZXT H500
PSU: Seasonic Focus Series 650W

My concern is installing Windows 10 Pro on say a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD and booting from that drive. From what little I've been able to find doing a google search, a lot of users are experiencing issues with this step either because it's newer technology, lack of experience or some other gotcha.

I will not be incorporating an optical drive with this new build, so I'll have to install the OS from a flash drive.

As I've indicated previously, it's been a while and I'm rusty. Has anyone put together a guide for installing Windows 10 on a M.2 SSD and setting that drive as the boot drive?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Dwain

I've figured this out for myself.
