ROG Strix 240 LC RGB cooler help...

Hey guys,

I'm trying to install the above cooler, but the risers for the 20xx sockets have a slightly thicker thread on the top



You only get 1 set of thumbscrews which fit a smaller thread.. Am I being stupid and missing something?
The thicker thread on the 20xx riser doesnt seem to go anywhere... doesnt go into the motherboard bracket or the thumbscrews... so wtf?

Any ideas....
