ROG Maximus Z690 Hero Which Power Cables?

Hi all, I took the motherboard in question, my configuration is as follows:

- Z690 Hero
- I9 12900K
- 32 GB Corsair Dominator 5600
- 2080 Super (coming soon 3080Ti)
- Corsair AX1200i

My question is this, is it necessary to connect the two 8 Pin CPU cables and the PCI-E cable next to the 24 pin connector? or I can only connect an 8-pin CPU cable, I specify that I do not overclock, instead the 6-pin PCI-E cable what is it for?

Welcome to the ROG forum.

Only one 8-pin cpu power cable is required but it won't hurt to connect both if your psu has them.

The 6-pin pcie connector is to supply additional wattage to the pcie x16 slots.
