I have a 5v strip in my ek velocity cpu block I'm wanting to replace with a 12v strip from an rgb pump I have lying around. Is it a bad idea to swap these? Or does it matter? I accidentally plugged the 5v into the 12v connector on the motherboard and fired it. I dont have access to the 5v header without taking apart my whole build. All other blocks I have are 12v. Is it ok to swap it so I can connect all together with my splitter on the 12v? Or does it generate too much heat and that's why they use 5v? I'm sure I'm overthinking this
