hi everyone new member to the forums but have read some of you threads for the past few months.
Im building a gaming rig for my nephew. nothing fancy but want him to have some power in his rig for max settings.

he mostly plays mmos( lortro,rift, wow, etc) but MB came with AC Black Flag so he might play it want it to look awesome for him

Budget: not an issue i save for what i want.
Main uses of intended build: gaming
Parts required: looking for recommendations on these items
:confused:
cpu: unsure what good enough and not overkill; like the i7 4960x maybe a 4930K is good enough for his needs?

vid card:this is confusing alot of options not sure which is best. hoping for a single card solution gtx 780 titan or ati?

memory: what has been the solid choice and how much is plenty?

build information (list details of parts): parts that i have already
chasis : Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 VN300M1W2N (Black)

MB: Rampage IV BE :cool:

psu: Corsair Professional Series 760 Watt Digital ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Platinum Power Supply AX760i

sound card:Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 Channel PCI-Express Sound Card

Monitor resolution: i would like an awsome monitor for him 27"-30" suggestions?
Storage requirements
: havnt purchased these yet so speak up if you have a better suggestions 😄

Samsung Electronics 840 Pro Series 2.5-Inch 256 GB SATA 6GB/s Solid State Drive MZ-7PD256BW
Western Digital 4TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive, Black, WD4003FZEX

Will you be overclocking: no
Extra information about desired system:
even though not over clocking i thinking of a simple solution for cooling the cpu using a
Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i
what you guys think

thanks in advance!!! 🙂

that ROG swift is not 2 years old, its coming out during summer time ( last i read ) and its going to be in the 800 usd price range.
but you have 24" from asus that have G-sync instaled too fro a cheaper price.

heres a link of specs and some Q & A -> http://rog.asus.com/296652014/news/rog-announces-the-pg278q-swift-27-inch-wqhd-g-sync-gaming-monitor...

No, you have to be careful with the numbers and letters 😉

Swift = PG278Q
4K = PB287Q

That one PB278Q...which is a nice monitor too of course

aahh thanks 😛 i hope the 4k comes out soon like june...sigh

im finding it hard to distinguish between different graphics cards and price difference... 😞
for instance. i search for a vid card ASUS DirectCU II GTX780TI-DC2OC-3GD5 GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB and i get what looks like the same card but different prices. like http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GTX780TI-DC2OC-3GD5-Graphics-card-DisplayPort/dp/B00HFMPMX6/ref=sr_1_2?ie...

and this
http://www.amazon.com/Thermal-Direct-GPU-Contact-Graphics-GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5/dp/B00DWV3NM6/ref=sr_1_1...

are they the same card or is one overclocked?
