Ram upgrade

Hi, i was thinking upgrading my ram (ddr4) from 8gb to 16gb, but then i saw thread that said you don't really need more than 8 if you do just gaming and everyday browsing. Yet if i play games i see they use ram like ...upto 5gb and also pagefile is used.

If i updated to 16gb would there be enough memory so no need for pagefile use anymore? Would it make my computer faster? Or would i even notice any difference in real life use....

Also, i have now 2x4gb of ddr4, if i update i have to buy exactly same set right? Same xmp profile etc. and i should be fine.

It worked, thanks a lot. Using 1.38v dram voltage my computer seems stable with 3200mhz. Still, i did set the frequenzy manually again, is it supposed to set it automaticly to 3.2ghz if i use xmp profile?

In principle yes it should...

I really don't bother with XMP profiles these days....sometimes set or disable settings they have no right to....

Easiest thing in the world to set XMP check primary timings in BIOS....write them down and then and then set Manual in AI OC tuner, set 3200 in RAM frequency, set 1.35v vdimm or a bit more if you need it...and set primary timings yourself...

Timings are already same as xmp profile when i check with rog cpuz. So what i did i enabled the xmp profile, set voltage higher to 1.38v and manually set the frequency to 3200mhz. Strange thing is that the frequency is not set right by the xmp profile...i have to set it manually. But result is same anyway i think.
