R9 270X CrossFire

Hello I have an R9 270X GPU and I wanted to put it in CrossFire with another from the same brand. I know out of the box the 270X can achieve 4K but only at 24 FPS from the desktop so I was wondering if putting two in CrossFire would significantly increase that or at least make resolutions higher than 1080p more comfortable for gaming and future proof my PC for a few years. I would greatly appreciate the feedback.

1440p and possible 3D rendering in CAD programs and I can't afford a Quadro from NVIDIA or a FirePro from AMD. And probably multi monitor.

I should also add that my current PC has a Maximus VI Hero and an i5-4670K with 16 GB of RAM and an 850 Watt PSU.

A 2 way R9 270X Crossfire should get you 60FPS in most games at 1440p without a sweat.

Sweet, thanks. I couldn't find anything with google searches as no one was that specific.
