Questions Regarding Upgrade Of My Rig.

Hello everyone.
- I got offered a free 9590 from my company, and therefor, i decided to do a little upgrade of my current rig.

Here's my current hardware specs:
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Amd 8350
16 GB Crucial Ram 1600 MhZ CL 8 (OC'd to 1866)
Samsung 840 Evo 250GB SSD
1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
Cooler Master Seidon 240M
Corsair Gaming Series g800 (or g850? I cant remember) PSU.
Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X

So, my rig is already "decent", however, I want to add that little extra to it, so I wont have to upgrade for a looooong time. I have about 300-700 USD to spend (I live in denmark tho, but prices are roughly the same if converted).

As I am getting the 9590 for free, im getting rid of my old 8350 CPU.

I want a update on my graphics cards aswell, not exactly sure what. I've been lookin into doing a CF of a 7950 / 280 (You can pair these two, right? o.o) or maybe get a 290 instead. Personally, I am in favor of doing a CF system with either 2x 7950 (if i can find one, theyre hard to get by now), or a 7950 / 280.

Now, keeping that in mind, I am wondering if theres any "all-round" changes that i should be doing here? I.e will my PSU be sufficient enough to run with this? I heard if you want to use a 9590 you need to use the 4 pin connector on the motherboard aswell, and I dont think my PSU actually has one of those - so I'd need a new one possibly?

I am open for suggestions on all-round hardware upgrades or other suggestions for the graphics cards i looked at.

I need to decide today/tomorrow, so im hoping someone can guide me here.

Thanks in advance, René

as long at the CPU 8pin is connected its good, the extra 4pin power is for high OC like under LN2 ( liquid nitrogen for example or 5++ gighz )

i think you may get by whit that PSU but i can not promise enny thing.

Can't pair 7950 and 280.

Get a good, EVGA Supernova PSU or Seasonic X series PSU, and an R9 290x (non-reference).

Are you 100% sure that you cant pair a 7950 and a 280? o.o I've seen several people say that its possible.

You can pair a 7970 and 280x, but with a lot of issues. They aren't meant for each other.

Yea, but the cards I have in question are a 7950 and a 280 (not a 280x) - Isnt the 280 a rebranded 7950?
- Can anyone confirm if i do CF these two cards, I'd end up having a bad time? xD

Anyone has any experience with Ebay? I can see i can get a used 7950 Vapor-X used for 100-120 USD, and id love to get my hands on one of those.

If you get different brand cards, you'll have big issues too
