Hi there. I am getting ready to replace my motherboard, cpu and memory sticks but I want to reuse my tower.
Currently I have: AZZA Helios 910 Black Japanese SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
I am looking at an Asus motherboard so that I can upgrade my system with a new processor. My question is: will an asus motherboard fit into this tower? I am also interested in the intel processors, either a really good i5 or possibly an i7 (if I can afford it).
Because I game, I originally had my pc built for me without all the bloatware and extra bells and whistles that a lot of commercial gaming rigs normally have. I really do not need all that bling. The games I play are: Rift, GW2, and sometimes EQII.
My current build is this:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6 LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80569Q9550
Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850 V2 850W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply
Video Card: Galaxy 56NPH6HS4IXX GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) GC 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Memory Sticks: G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL6D-8GBMQ
Computer Tower: AZZA Helios 910 Black Japanese SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Suggestions on what is feasible would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
