PSU that will run 4 MSI lightning 7970 and Rampage IV Extreme

I am looking to run Quad Crossfire MSI Lightning 7970s. The one problem I have run into is that each of the cards require dual 8 pin PCIe power connectors. I will also require to put an additional 6 pin PCIe connector into the Rampage IV Extreme for additional power. I have not been able to find anything that shows me what any of the power supplies max PCIe connectors that can connect to any of the power supplies I have found.

Some power supplies I have been looking at are the:

You probably will need to run 2x PSUs with a Dual PSU adapter cable to jump start both PSUs like one of these:

My case won't fix dual PSU sadly. 😞

Do you really need to run Quad Crossfire? Seems rediculiously NOT necessary, unless you intend to be gaming at like 5760x1080 or something all the time. If not I don't see the need to run Quad Crossfire if you're only intending to do single screen 1080p gaming. Save some money go with a Crossfire setup.

If I was going AMD, I'd probably get 2x of the Sapphire TOXIC cards and run those in Crossfire, they have 6GB each of video memory. Running a pair of those in Crossfire ought to be more than enough to run any eye infinity setup well.

I don't want to tell you how to spend your money, but up to you.

As we speak i just got me a maxrevo 1500w, but i will only be running 3 pcs gpu..

The 30 amp rails attracted me..

i was also in the starting pits for buying a new psu, and i considered many of the.. Enermax got the final word..

Ps: uhhh multirails.. well, gonna be the first time for that also..

From what I have just read in reviews about the LEPA 1600 I think I will be going with it.

but..

i dont know the lightning spec.. but around 400w per lightning? X 4 = 1600w... You have other things to power in there also.. And its not wise to run the psu's at 100% for very long runs..

And the amp/rail situation, take that into count..

The only other thing I can do is try to find a visiontek juicebox 450 watt dedicated gpu psu
