PC Case for Aura Sync

I am building a new system and I am wanting it to be a Aura Sync RGB build. I have the parts I want in mind but the hardest thing I am find is the Case. I have asked on other forums but the only answer I get is the Corsair 460X or 570X. Those are just this side of my budget but I want to try and fins something cheaper so I can put some money toward either the CPU or Video Card. So please, any suggestions would help.

Have you thought about any of the Thermaltake Core P cases? They are fairly versatile and can be oriented in a few positions. I just built mine in a core p5. I am going to hang it on the wall. I used the aura compatible EK mono block, EK rgb water pump, GSkill rgb trident ram, Phanteks fan halos for my 140mm fans, and the strix 1080ti GPU. The monoblock and phanteks halos are plugged into my crosshair vi motherboard headers, and the EK water pump is plugged into the RGB header of the GPU. Of course I used PETG hard line for the water loop. There are options for closed loop set ups, as well.

I like the case but since I have a few animals, the fur factor make this case not a good Idea. Any other suggestions?

What are you looking for in your case? Major things to be able to answer is:
- Budget (gotta have one)
- Size (what dimensions can you live with)
- Orientation (are you going to be looking at it head-on, profile? where will your primary intake be? exhaust?)
- Components (mobo size? GPU(s) length), are you going to water cool? Open or closed loop? If not, how tall is your cpu cooler? How many/type of internal hard drives? Do you need 5.25 bays for dvd player, etc.)
- Aesthetics (do you have a theme for the room it's going into? are you wanting it to stand out or be subdued, etc.)

With all that in mind you can start developing a short list for your case. Each one is different, but the beauty about Aura sync is that ANY case can support it. Use some LED strips tied to the mobo headers, rgb fans and voila! As an example: I wanted a profile build with an open loop cooling the cpu and 2 gpu's in SLI. I wanted a closed case with a full glass side. My design was for primary intake on the bottom and exhaust out the top. Because of that I was looking for cases with a psu "attic" (vice "basement") that I could push the exhaust through. I chose the In Win 305, and have been very happy with it.

With regard to Aura sync: I have the fans, SLI block, CPU block and res all attached to the rgb headers on the board. The only lighting that isn't controlled by aura is the blue led's in the tubing.

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to cases. Your best bet is to look at function first, form second, and have some fun!

So to answer some of your questions. I have already purchased a Crosshair VI Hero and a Thermaltake ToughPower 650 RGB PSU. I am planning on getting a Ryzen 7 1700 or 1700X and use the stock Wraith Spire cooler that comes with and maybe plans to water cool down the line. Currently looking at a ASUS 1050 TI Strix, and also the G. Skill Trident Z RGB. I have four normal HD's in my current rig but plan to transfer only 3 so I will need at least 3 bay. I will also be adding 1 SSD but from what I have seen of most modern day cases, that should not be a problem on getting that in. I would like the intake to be in the front and exhaust on top or reversed but they will be RGB (Aura Sync if I can) I just want a good sturdy case that I can make look cool and have a nice WOW factor. If the case itself is not already RGBed, I can get the case fans and use Phanteks Halo and Halo Lux inserts to help with that and keep cost down. The reason for that is I want a ring effect instead of the blades of the fan lighting up as well. Now I want to try and keep the case as cheap as possible so I can pour money into the guts (CPU and GPU) so I can have a good power house that I do not have to upgrade for a couple of years. With that in mind, what would you suggest.

Not quite enough info, but I'll give it a stab. Your biggest challenge is the RGB PSU. Most cases now try to hide them; you'd like to show it off. The best cases for that particular PSU is the Core P cases, but that's a no-go due to the open design. If you like the look of the Corsair 460X/570X but want to save some cash, consider the Rosewill Cullinan MZ Elemental (fanless) for around 80 USD. With the money you saved from the case, pick up a six-pack of Enermax RGB case fans. Sync them to your Aura, and be in RGB heaven!

RGB aside a cheap case can cause issues, motherboard mounting and video card mounting issues, etc. poor cable routing and more.
Purchase a good case and power supply and purchase RGB fans etc. later

On that I definitely agree. IMO the Rosewill case is superior to the Corsair, but they are both quality cases. Biggest problem with the Corsair is their fans and the price you pay for the brand. Some will say that Rosewill's biggest problem is their willingness to copy other's designs, even if they do improve on it.

I looked into Rosewill's as suggested and none caught my eye. I think I may have found one though in the Cooler Master H500P ( https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjImefg4vPY...). At the moment it is not good for airflow but there is ways to mod it and also Cooler Master is supposed to be coming out with a mesh version in Q2. Modding instructions (or at least 1 way to mod it for better airflow) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjAjvyF4_PY...

So tell me what you think. It is around the price range I am looking for although I'd rather pay less but some times you can and sometime you can't.

I like the 200mm fans up front, but they don't give you the halo effect you were looking for. Not a big fan of all the plastic, prefer glass and steel or aluminum. Plastic keeps the weight and price down though, so...

The issue with replacing the front plastic with mesh appears to correct the air flow issue, but you might want to wait until Cooler Master provides that option, it appears they are going to make it available by March of this year.

If you can't wait, consider the Fractal Design Meshify C. A little smaller case, but $60 USD less. Then you could buy the fans you like separately. You'd lose the 200mm fans, but I haven't seen a halo fan in that size yet.
