I have just bought a ASUS H81M-E motherboard and when I try to start my pc an error appears (The current BIOS settings do not fully support the boot device). This error will not appear when I have my DVD rom plugged in. The Bios is not detecting my Western Digital 1TB HDD. I ave just updated the BIOS to the latest version as it was not compatable with my 4th Gen Intel CPU. I have tried EVERYTHING. Please help
Tough issue without being there to look at it. Maybe try verifying the SATA port that the HDD is plugged into. Ensure that it is port 1 and not an extra port that should be defined in the manual. If that doesn't help, try a different hard drive to see if it finds it.
Remember, when having multiple items connected, you may have to adjust your BIOS setting to allow it to boot to certain ones. (not sure of your tech lvl)
