We've produced our own PC build guide that guides new users through the process of PC DIY. There's a bit of ROG at the back too 😉

If you're unsure of any part of your new build or if you think a friend could use the advise, send them a link to our new pageor download the PDF for free!

The info in this guide is a little out of date since high end motherboards today such a Z390 chipset have a new CPU connection to deliver the extra power required by today's CPUs. E.g., a simple question is does the eps connector from say a Corsair AX1600i PSU is used to connect to the new CPU power socket on the motherboard?

Could the build guide be updated for today's hardware configuration?

Can anyone who has built a system recently with a Maximus XI Code, Corsair AX1600i PSU, i9 9900k help to explain which connection is used to connect to the CPU power connections. There are 2 connectors in series an 8 and a 4 pin. My understanding is that the 8 pin must be connected while the 4 pin is not really essential?

Any help or a pointer to a thread on the forum or youtube etc. would be immensely appreciated. I haven't had any luck on youtube for this specific configuration with PSU having EPS connections in this respect,
