I have an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI motherboard. It had problems with using a M.2 SSD as a boot drive, so I am wondering if it would have problems with an intel optane memory module. I tried to use a 970 Evo for the boot drive, but it didn't work. I had to return it and switch it with an 860 Evo.
