New triple Titan X system on Rampage V Extreme --> Intel 750 PCIE?

Hey everyone,

First time on this forum - though I do have the original Rampage in my current system (hence the need for an upgrade - the q9450 is getting old).

I'm building an "uber" system with 3 Titan X GPUs and was wondering about the PCI lane limitations of adding an Intel 750 SSD...

I know that it is recommended that it go into a 4x PCI 3 slot - if I have 3 Titans (assuming x16,x8,x8), will there actually be physical room for the Intel 750?

I saw the "coming soon" connector for the m2 version - but that's a few hundred extra dollars and I don't think I should need it...

Any thoughts?

Menthol has it. The Samsung sm951 is bad to the bone,not badly priced either. Yeah it is green pcb,put a heatsink on it

The adapter card you need to install in the M.2 slot may interfere with the GPU's

Why do they make that adapter so large? I mean, at a glance it looks like they could've easily made it a little less than half the size, maybe even rotated the connector 90 or 180 degrees to make it yet smaller.

OK.... so it looks like I can't run 3 Titans AND use the Intel 750?? Either in PCI or M.2.... unless I lose the 3.1 addon card... can't say I'm happy about that...

As an update - I finished the system (you guys were right, the M2 adapter WILL NOT work with the RVE and 3 Titans - had to return the M2 model for the PCIe version.... and then I had to sacrifice the USB3 addon card...

Got it running, was running benchmarks... and all of a sudden... I smell burning.... somehow one of my Titans just stopped working - PC detected only 2, and when plugging my display into that card, I got nothing but black 😞

Had to put the reference cooler back on (have EKWB water coolers) and return it... should have a new one Monday or Tuesday... Can't use the PC in the meantime, as my cooling system would be spraying coolant everywhere without all 3 cards (I'm not putting reference coolers back on just to play for a few days!)...

I'm wondering how PC Building websites like Falcon and Maingear advertise triple and Quad Titan setups with that HD - they use RVE as well...
