Hi all,

I just re-installed windws and as usuall i went to my motherboard driver page to see if there were any updates.

https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-crosshair/rog-crosshair-x670e-hero-model/helpdesk_download/

I downloaded the Thunderbolt driver which is both for win10 and win11.

During installation it shows an error.

I went and tried to update the driver manually on my newly installed windws 11 x64 24H2. And it went fine. Something got installed.

But in the end i ended up with 1 item in Device manager that was a not found with a "?". I check the folder for the old version of the Thunderbolt driver and there were a folder called "UCM_Cypress", This does now exist in the new version. Why?

I can verify that using the old version i could manually install the driver for the missing device and it was

SO basically 2 questions:

1) Why is the new version of "DRV_Thunderbolt_Intel_UWD_TSD_W11_64_V14114120_20241111B" not working to install on Windows 11? Previous version works fine "Intel_Thunderbolt_Driver_V1.41.1193.0_WIN10_WIN11_64-bit".
2) Why is the UCM_Cypress driver missing in the new Thunderbolt version?
